Canberra Youth Music’s mission is to provide excellence in music education to young ACT musicians through quality training and performance opportunities.
Canberra Youth Music provides young musicians from Canberra and the surrounding district the opportunity to participate in orchestras and string ensembles. From 2012, CYM will also be offering two new extension ensembles: the Canberra Youth Jazz Orchestra and the Canberra Youth Chamber Orchestra. CYM activities are designed to broaden participants' musical experiences and promote teamwork and leadership skills in a stimulating and enjoyable, professionally run and non-competitive environment.
